Help your child get a great start to his or her academic career by enrolling them in Good Shepherd’s top-notch K5 Program. We use the nationally acclaimed A Beka Bookcurriculum. With an emphasis on using phonics to teach reading, all of our kindergarten students learn how to read during their kindergarten year.
Numbers and math concepts, penmanship, science and social studies, Bible, poetry and fine arts are all taught from a Christian perspective. We also teach your child with a view to helping him or her become an independent learner, giving your student the edge he or she needs to succeed in life.
Stanford Achievement Testing
Beginning in kindergarten, our students take the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT 10). This test is taken nationally by both public and private schools as a means to test student acedemic knowledge. As a group our students usually test a year ahead of their peers.
At the end of the year, we hold a special graduation ceremony for our kindergarten class to show case all they’ve learned during the school year. Parents, grandparents, and friends won’t want to miss this wonderful time.
